Cartel Of One is exactly what it sounds like: a cartel with a membership of one. No band, no label, no committee — just a single producer building entire sonic worlds from scratch, one track at a time.

The catalogue moves freely between downtempo, ambient techno, dub-inflected grooves, and cinematic scoring — treated less as separate boxes and more as neighbouring rooms in the same dark building. A track can open on a slow-motion pulse and end up somewhere closer to a film score, and that's by design.

Every release starts from texture rather than melody — a wash of synth pads, a sample pulled from somewhere unexpected, a found sound recorded and warped past recognition — and gets built outward until it becomes a space you can stand inside. The aim isn't to be background music. It's to be a signal worth stopping for.

Everything here is self-produced, self-released, and self-hosted — recorded, mixed, and shipped without a label standing between the sound and the listener.
